إليكم موجز عن بعض الشخصيات التي كان لها دور بارز في تاريخ المقاومة الجزائرية:1/ الأمير عبد القادر (1807 – 1883):يعتبرالأمير عبد القادر من كبار رجال الدولة الجزائريين في التاريخ المعاصر، فهو مؤسس الدولة الجزائرية الحديثة ورائد مقاومتها ضد الاستعمارالفرنسي بين 1832 و 1847.
كما يعد أيضا من كبار رجال التصوف والشعروعلماء الدين .2/ الأمير خالد (1875 – 1936):ولد بسوريا .
استغل مكانته كحفيد للأمير عبد القادراضافة لمعرفته للحضارةالعربية الإسلامية للوقوف في وجه السياسة الاستعمارية بعد ح ع1.
بدأ نشاطه السياسي بعد تقاعده من الجيش الفرنسي حيث حارب الإدماج و غلاة المعمرين.أنشأ جمعية الأخوة الجزائرية لكن حزبه حلته فرنسا كما نفته حيث انتقل الى سوريا الى ان توفي هناك سنة 1936.3/ مصالي الحاج (1898 - 1974):ولد بتلمسان و يعتبر ابرز الشخصيات السياسية في تاريخ الحركة الوطنية لذلك يلقبه البعض بأبو الوطنية او ابو الأمة ....
تزعم الإتجاه الإستقلالي من العشرينات رغم أنه لم يكتب له تفجير الثورة .ارتبط اسمه بنجم الشمال و حزب الشعب و حركة الإنتصار...توفي بفرنسا سنة 19744/ فرحات عباس (1899- 1985):ولد بجيجل 1899 يعدمن طبقة النخبة المثقفة ثقافة غربية و لهذا كان من دعاة سياسةالإدماج ،لكن فكره عرف تحولات كثيرة وأصبح من دعاة تقرير المصير ثم دعاة الفيدرالية مع فرنسا ثم التحق بالثورة سنة 1956و كان له شرف رئيس أول حكومة جزائرية مؤقتة 1958.5/ عبد الحميد بن باديس (1889- 1940):ولد عبدالحميد بن باديس في 05ديسمبر 1889 بقسنطية .يعتبر احد أعلام الجزائر حمل على عاتقه مسؤولية الإصلاح و التعليم و قد اختصر مشروعه الإصلاحي في : "الإسلام ديننا ، و العربيةلغتنا و الجزائر وطننا...عمل مع أقرانه من أمثال الشيخ البشير الإبراهيمي، العربيالتبسّي والطيب العقبي على تأسيس جمعية العلماء المسلمين الجزائريينفي 05 ماي 1931 وانتخب رئيسا لها إلى غاية وفاته في 16 أفريل 1940.
6/ العربي بن مهيدي (1923- 1957):أحد ابرز الشخصيات في تاريخ الثورة التحريرية فقد كان عضوا في المنظمة الخاصة ثم مجموعة 22لعب دورا بارزا في مسيرة الكفاح المسلح و يعترف له حتى الفرنسيين أنفسهم ....
،وقال مقولته الشهيرة إلقوا بالثورة إلىالشارع سيحتضنها الشعب ....
استشهد تحت التعذيب ليلة الثالث الى الرابع مارس 1957 .7/ مصطفى بن بولعيد (1917- 1956):ولد بأريس ولاية باتنة...
شخصية بارزة و شجاعة.كان عضوا في المنظمة الخاصة ثم مجموعة 22 و حمل على عاتقه الثورة في اشهرها الأولى بمنطقة الأوراس...أعتقل في 11 فيفري 1955 وحوكم بالمحكمةالعسكرية بقسنطينة في جوان 1955وحكم عليه بالإعدام.
إستطاع الفرارمن السجن في شهر نوفمبر1955.
